Speaking virtually at the convention, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan stated that now is the time for a different thinking to create a green and sustainable agricultural sector.
He noted that the world is looking for products that not only have high quality but also have ecolabels and are produced in a way that does not harm the environment.
The agriculture minister highlighted the organic and circular agriculture projects by Que Lam Group as those that should be replicated.
At the convention, Nguyen Hong Lam, Chairman of Que Lam Group, was elected as chairman of the Vietnam Circular Agriculture Association for the 2021-2026 tenure.
Lam stated that the association will work for the development of Vietnam’s circular agriculture, towards making it a driver of the circular economy while contributing to sustainable development.
The establishment of the Vietnam Circular Agriculture Association is highly significant as Vietnam is implementing projects to restructure agriculture and develop organic agriculture for the 2020-2030 period with a goal of enhancing added value and sustainable development.
