This was announced by the Vietnam Tourism Association at a press conference in Hanoi on March 25.

VITM Hanoi 2025 will take place from April 10 – 13 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Centre (ICE) under the theme ‘Developing Green Destinations, Elevating Vietnam’s Tourism’ to foster Vietnam’s tourism toward green and sustainable growth.

Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Cao Thi Ngoc Lan stated that the VITM Hanoi 2024, held under the theme “Vietnam Tourism - Green Transformation for Sustainable Development,” introduced a new direction for the tourism industry, which focuses on promoting responsible tourism while preserving the environment for sustainable growth.

Following this trend, the VITM Hanoi 2025 will unveil Vietnam’s prominent green destinations, along with diverse green tourism products to engage industry stakeholders and visitors.

Visitors can engage in various promotional programmes, including tours, discounts on airfare and hotel prices, local OCOP products, and the introduction of popular destinations.

Currently, 1,228 appointments have been scheduled in the VITM system.

At this year’s fair, the Vietnam Tourism Association has arranged a special area to highlight key achievements in digital transformation, showcasing notable AI and robotic applications in tourism, hospitality, and travel services.

The fair will also feature networking events, including business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) meetings. Vietnamese and international tourism promotion agencies will organise activities to promote tourism and introduce tourism products, destinations, tourism stimulus packages, new technologies, and trends.

Additionally, the event will showcase tourism programmes and events from localities, businesses, and destinations both domestically and internationally.

Within the framework of the event, the "Developing Green Destinations - Elevating Vietnam’s Tourism" forum will be held on April 11, welcoming 200–300 delegates, including government representatives, domestic and international tourism experts, tourism business executives, destination management authorities, and media agencies.

As Vietnam’s tourism industry is required to speed up transformation to align with global developments, such a distinguished and influential event like VITM Hanoi 2025 will play a vital role in advancing tourism as a key economic sector.

The forum aims to facilitate discussions on green tourism development, implement strategies to expand market opportunities for sustainable tourism businesses and promote digital transformation to accelerate the growth of the tourism sector, particularly sustainable tourism.

In addition, a ceremony honouring businesses and individuals with exceptional achievements and contributions in hospitality, travel, and tourism services will take place on April 10.

At the fair, localities, destinations, and businesses will organise various tourism promotion activities.

Visitors to the VITM 2025 can enjoy artistic performances by domestic and international art troupes, and a tuna-cutting demonstration by fishermen from Phu Yen.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Director General of the National Tourism Administration Pham Van Thuy praised the theme of VITM Hanoi 2025 and highlighted that its vibrant activities will offer businesses a platform to exchange experiences and foster sustainable tourism growth.
