Vietnam reopens nine airports after storm Noru

Nine out of 10 airports that were temporarily closed due to storm No.4 (Noru) have been reopened, except for Dong Hoi airport in Quang Binh province, according to the Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam Dinh Viet Thang.

From noon on September 28, Chu Lai, Buon Ma Thuot, Lien Khuong and Vinh airports resumed their operation as normal, while Da Nang Airport reopened at 13:30 on the same day.

The remaining airports (except Dong Hoi airport) reopened after 2 pm on September 28.

Besides the aforementioned airports, Tuy Hoa and Phu Cat airports have operated normally after the weather conditions improved following storm Noru.

Previously, due to the impact of storm Noru, aviation authorities decided to close 10 airports. Airlines were forced to adjust their flight schedule for destinations and departures at airports throughout the central region.
