Speaking at the event, Chien said that the bust of President Ho Chi Minh in Park Montreau and the exhibits at the Ho Chi Minh space in the Museum of Living History in Montreuil City help the Overseas Vietnamese community as well as French and international friends in gaining a deeper understanding about the life and career of the great Vietnamese leader as well as the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and France.

He also expressed his thanks to Montreuil City for preserving valuable documents and exhibits of President Ho Chi Minh at the Living History Museum, as well as for their coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in France in organising activities in honour of the late President.

For his part, member of the Politburo of the French Communist Party (PCF) Taylan Coskun stressed that the friendship between Vietnam and France has been nurtured over the past century since the establishment of the PCF, of which President Ho Chi Minh was one of the founding members.

He praised President Ho Chi Minh’s significant contributions to fostering the revolutionary ideals of French communists in the fight against colonialism in those days.
