Vietnamese tourism promoted in RoK

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), on October 18, in Seoul city, within the framework of the Vietnam Cultural Tourism Promotion Festival in the Republic of Korea (RoK) 2023, the VNAT organised a programme to introduce Vietnam tourism.

Speaking at the programme, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet emphasised, that in recent years, the partnership and people-to-people exchange between Vietnam and Korea have always been of interest to all levels and sectors, achieving many results. The upgraded Comprehensive Strategic Partnership at the end of 2022, is an important milestone, bringing the cooperation between Vietnam and Korea to a new page, with stronger developments.

This is not only an opportunity for Vietnam to introduce its traditional cultural identity to Korean friends, but also to promote attractive destinations and tourism products specifically for Korean tourists.

At the same time, the programme creates opportunities for Vietnamese and Korean investors and tourism businesses to meet, seek cooperation and business opportunities, and increase two-way tourist exchange, in the context that the two countries are strengthening bilateral economic and cultural cooperation.

Nguyen Viet Anh - Minister Counselor, Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK said, that Vietnam and the RoK are both countries with rich tourism potential. Both countries possess unique cultures, tangible and intangible heritages recognised by UNESCO.

At the program, representatives of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration gave an introduction about the situation of Vietnam's tourism, the results of welcoming international tourists, as well as newly issued visa and immigration policies. Delegates also heard about the highlights of Vietnam's tourism marketing strategy with key product lines such as island tourism, nature tourism, cultural tourism, and city tourism; along with other types of complementary products such as golf tourism, health care tourism and adventure tourism.

In addition, Vietnamese tourism, travel and hotel businesses have also introduced new tourism products and services, suitable to the tastes and needs of the Korean market and promotions.

Previously, on October 17, 2023, on the stage of Lotte World entertainment complex, Seoul, Korea, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired and coordinated with relevant units, organising the special art performance programme, "Colours of Vietnam", introducing to the Korean public in particular and international friends, in general, the beautiful image of the country, people and cultural diversity of Vietnam.

The programme "Colours of Vietnam" depicts a brilliant picture of Vietnam through a unique blend of the nation's traditional values and contemporary elements, in the spirit of absorbing the quintessence of human culture, and the desire to reach the international level of Vietnamese culture and art.
