The businesses bring to the event 120 stands displaying products used in the shrimp industry, such as breeding, shrimp feed, biological products, as well as shrimp farming equipment.
The event also includes five workshops discussing various topics onthe shrimp industry as well as seeking ways to develop the industry.
With a 60-kilometre shoreline, Bac Lieu now has over 120,000 hectares of shrimp farms. The fair provides an opportunity for local shrimp farmers to get updated on modern technologies and solutions to improve their operations.
The event, co-organised by the Vietnam Fisheries Association and the Bac Lieu provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, will run until June 26 at Cao Van Lau Culture and Arts Centre in Bac Lieu city.
