The newspaper was founded on the basis of rearranging and reorganising the VTV News online newspaper and VTV Television Magazine.
VTV Times was licensed to operate both print and online newspapers under license number 483/GP-BTTT, issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications on December 29, 2023.
At the ceremony, VTV General Director Le Ngoc Quang presented appointment decisions to VTV Times leaders including Editor-in-Chief Vu Thanh Thuy and two Deputy Editor-in-Chiefs: Nguyen Thi My Hanh and Pham Quoc Thang.
While congratulating the VTV Times leaders on the appointment, Quang expressed his hope that they will promote solidarity and innovation to fulfil their assigned tasks.
For her part, Editor-in-Chief Vu Thanh Thuy vowed to try her best to promote the core values of the VTV News online newspaper and VTV Television Magazine for the development of VTV Times.
