The winning works included nine of the most outstanding works produced by members of the central literature and arts associations, 62 others by artists from local literature and arts associations, and one work on COVID-19 prevention and control.
Literature and art works were divided into various categories, including poetry, prose, literary criticism, fine art, photography, cinema, music, dance, folk art, and theatre.
The song entitled “Dep nhat bong sen” (The most beautiful lotus flower) by musician Truong Quang Luc, the drama work entitled “Lang song sinh” (Twin village) directed by People's Artist Nguyen Trung Hieu, and the TV documentary film entitled “Thanh tri cuoi cung” (The Last Citadel) directed by Ngo Quang Thinh were among the works presented with the highest prizes.
Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations Do Hong Quan said that authors and artists on the culture front have made worthy contributions to national development; as Uncle Ho’s saying goes, “Culture lights the way for the nation”.
The award also demonstrates the aspiration of artists and writers to make more contributions to building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, Quan added.
