* Israel's ruling coalition announced on Sunday that the general elections for the Knesset, the country's parliament, will be held as originally scheduled on Oct. 27 and will not be brought forward, Israel's state-owned Kan TV News reported. According to Israeli law, general elections for parliament are supposed to be held every four years.

* Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Monday that it had targeted U.S. bases in Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait in retaliation for U.S. attacks against coastal Iranian provinces earlier in the day.

* Pakistan on Sunday expressed deep concern over the recent escalation in tensions between the United States and Iran, urging all sides to exercise restraint, the foreign ministry said. Pakistan also urged both sides to take immediate steps toward de-escalation and uphold their commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, the ministry said in a statement.

* Oman on Sunday summoned Iran's ambassador to deliver a formal note of protest over drone attacks targeting sites in the governorates of Musandam and Al Wusta, Oman's Foreign Ministry said.

* Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has said Iran insists that arrangements for the future administration of maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz must be made through consultations with Oman, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Sunday.

* About 300 drones headed toward the Moscow region over the past 24 hours, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on Sunday.
