The exhibition showcased 30 colour and black-and-white photos taken by Le Bich over 20 years, capturing moments between Vietnamese mothers and their children.

The photographer travelled from Northern mountainous provinces to Central provinces to meet the locals and capture the emotional and vivid moments of motherhood.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union Nguyen Thi Minh Huong said, “Through the exhibition, I see special, simple and lovely moments of mothers and their children, regardless of their living areas in the mountains or plains, which were captured by the observation, view and feel of the author during his journeys. It is also special that these sacred moments are featured through the lens and feeling of a male photographer, with a deep understanding of motherhood.”

The exhibition will run until March 15 as an event to mark the 114th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the International Day of Happiness.
