The painting was created through a joint effort by the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department and sponsors. It stretches more than 400 metres and covers a total area of 1,300 square metres.
The mural not only portrays the history, distinctive cultural features, famous landmarks, and scenic landscapes of provinces and cities across the country but also reflects their development following the reorganisation and merger of administrative units.
Set against the open and pristine surroundings of Con Dao, the mural offers visitors an even stronger sense of pride in the rich diversity and beauty of Viet Nam’s regions.
Designed as a continuous panoramic artwork, it extends along the mountainside beside the road linking the centre of Con Dao with Con Dao Airport, forming a unified north-central-south narrative that allows viewers to appreciate the beauty of a united, developing, and internationally integrated Viet Nam.
As a result, the mural is not only an artistic landmark that promotes the image of Viet Nam and its people, but also an immersive public space offering a rich visual experience.
