Addressing the event, Le Thuong, Chairwoman of the Vietnamese Association in the Kansai region and head of the organising committee, emphasised that culture is an essential bridge that deepens understanding and strengthens bonds between peoples.
She noted that the programme was not only an opportunity to showcase Viet Nam’s traditional arts but also expressed the aspiration to integrate Vietnamese culture more fully into the global flow.
For his part, Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka, Nguyen Truong Son, praised the efforts of the Vietnamese community in Kansai to preserve national identity and promote international cultural exchange.
He highlighted that the programme contributes to realising the policy of developing Viet Nam’s cultural soft power in the era of international integration.
Sakai Norihiro, Chairman of the Japan–Vietnam Friendship Association, expressed his admiration for the cultural depth and creative spirit of Vietnamese art.
He affirmed that cultural exchange activities play a vital role in strengthening the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
At the programme, the audience had the opportunity to watch the documentary ‘Nguoi Giu Hon Di San’ (The Keepers of Heritage’s Soul), which won the Golden Lotus Award at the 24th Viet Nam Film Festival in 2025. The film retraces the journey of preserving the nation’s cultural heritage amid modernisation and international integration.
The programme also featured a variety of artistic performances and traditional music by artists from both Japan and Viet Nam.
