On May 19, the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province in collaboration with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the housing project.

Politburo member, Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Truong Thi Mai, attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

The housing project under the complex of facilities of Binh Dinh Province’s Trade Union, is invested by IEC Construction Investment and Mechanical Electric JSC. The total area of the project is more than 37,600m2, including four high-rise blocks with 1,500 apartments, worth about 500 – 700 million VND (21,300 – 29,800 USD) each. In addition to apartments, the project also has ancillary facilities to meet the needs of workers.

The first apartments are expected to be handed in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan assessed that this is an important project that will solve the housing demand for workers, Trade Union members, and labourers, in industrial zones in the province.

“In the coming time, Binh Dinh province will continue to implement social housing projects as planned, especially housing for workers. It is determined to invest in building about 12,900 social apartments by 2025, five years earlier than the plan assigned by the Prime Minister,” Tuan noted.
