Women working in the fire service are often assigned to work in administrative units, while men are sent out to the field. For the first time, five young women volunteered to take the job.

The five female soldiers are Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Captains Phan Thi Ngoc Anh and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan, Lieutenant Tran Thi Thuy, and second Lieutenant Nguyen Thi Lua.

With courage and intelligence, the “steel roses” are willing to run into dangerous areas, skyscrapers, and collapsed buildings to rescue people from danger.

The female firefighters showed their skills and bravery to be equal to their male colleagues in both training and real situations.
