In Pictures: Thang Long–Ha Noi Festival 2025 concludes, stirring emotions among visitors and residents
After more than two weeks of vibrant activities, the Thang Long–Ha Noi Festival 2025 came to a close on November16, leaving lasting impressions on both visitors and city residents.
Held under the theme “Heritage – Connection – Era”, the festival attracted nearly 200,000 participants in person and close to one million interactions via social media.
An arts performance at the closing ceremony took place at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square. The festival blended traditional and modern elements to bring cultural heritage closer to the public and to foster momentum for the sustainable growth of the cultural industry. Certificates of recognition were awarded to outstanding artisans, individuals, and organisations for their contributions to the festival.
The festival successfully connected the capital’s time-honoured heritage with contemporary life, ushering in a new cycle of creativity for Ha Noi. Large crowds of Ha Noi residents, alongside domestic and international visitors, gathered to witness the closing celebrations. The festival provided a platform for extensive international exchange, with the participation of central leaders, Ha Noi authorities, representatives from several provinces and cities, ambassadors from various countries, and international organisations based in Ha Noi.
It served as a bridge between heritage and modern innovation, promoting the image of the capital and reinforcing its status as a UNESCO Creative City. The closing ceremony featured captivating arts performances. Looking ahead, the Thang Long–Ha Noi Festival 2026 will be held under the theme “Ha Noi’s Quintessence – Global Connection”, embodying the capital’s aspiration to become a hub that gathers and radiates the heritage values of Viet Nam and the wider world.
The sound of lithophones resonates throughout the mountains and forests, playing tunes that carry the many shades of the Raglai people’s emotions. One can hear drifting clouds, blowing winds, and the tenderness of longing and affection. Countless mountain-borne tones blend into an echo that has travelled from the distant, ancient past of the highlands.
