During his revolutionary cause, Le Hong Phong was led and trained by Nguyen Ai Quoc (Ho Chi Minh) and soon became an elite cadre of the revolution and a resilient international communist.
He was elected as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, at the first Party Congress held in Macau (China), in March 1935.
