The Government Office issued Document 7611/VPCP-KGVX on October 20, 2021, conveying the opinions of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on the creation of dossiers for typical intangible cultural heritages to submit to UNESCO.
Specifically, the Deputy PM is allowing the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to host and coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies and localities to create dossiers for Cheo arts of the Red River Delta and Binh Dinh Traditional Martial Arts.
Binh Dinh traditional martial arts was recognised as a National Intangible Heritage in 2012.
Cheo has been recognised as precious heritage capital and classified as a traditional artform in need of preservation and promotion.
Traditional martial arts of the South Central province of Binh Dinh has become a cultural heritage and unique beauty of local people. It was recognised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Heritage in 2012.
