Inspired by the nature, culture, and people of northern Viet Nam's mountainous regions, the collection offered an artistic journey that helped showcase the beauty of the Vietnamese ao dai on the international fashion stage.
The collection was selected to open Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026, one of the flagship events of Viet Nam Event & Exhibition Week 2026, which is being held from July 30 to August 2 at the Viet Nam Exhibition Centre (VEC) in Dong Anh, Ha Noi.
The event brought together fashion brands, designers, and performance companies, with the participation of numerous artists, beauty queens, models, and guests from Viet Nam and abroad.
Being chosen to present the opening collection held special significance for designer Han Phuong and her Viet Phuong Ao Dai brand. Beyond being a great honour, it provides an opportunity to introduce the richness of Vietnamese cultural identity from the very start of the programme, while reaffirming the Thai Nguyen-born designer's more than three decades of dedication to preserving and promoting the value of the traditional ao dai.
The collection featured performances by a distinguished line-up of artists, models, and special guests, including Meritorious Artists Chieu Xuan, Nguyet Hang, and Trinh Mai Nguyen; People's Artist Thuy Ngan; actresses Quach Thu Phuong and Ha Dan; beauty queen Linh Chi; and model Katy from China.
To ensure every design suited its wearer, each garment was individually tailored to highlight the personality and beauty of the artist presenting it. Han Phuong and her team spent several months perfecting every detail.
The collection also marks another milestone in Han Phuong's ongoing efforts to promote the Vietnamese ao dai following a series of cultural exchange activities both at home and abroad.
