Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc calls for new growth drivers in Ha Tinh

The meeting was attended by members of the Ha Tinh delegation to the 16th National Assembly. Voters expressed support for the National Assembly and Government’s performance in promoting socio-economic development and ensuring national defence, security and external relations.

Voters also highlighted the effectiveness of the two-tier local government model and proposed that the National Assembly and Government review staffing arrangements at commune level, alongside stronger training and professional development for local officials.

They also called for more effective decentralisation and delegation of authority, backed by adequate resources and stronger implementation capacity, as well as the integration of administrative management software and shared data systems.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc acknowledged and praised the candid and constructive recommendations from Ha Tinh voters. He said the complex and unpredictable global situation required more proactive, flexible and decisive governance, along with timely and effective responses to unprecedented challenges. The Government and Prime Minister are directing ministries, sectors and localities to implement comprehensive measures, make better use of available resources and create new drivers of economic growth.

Regarding Ha Tinh’s development, the Deputy PM said the province has favourable conditions and significant potential to achieve faster and more sustainable growth. He called on the province to further leverage its industrial base, seaports, logistics and services while accelerating administrative reform, improving governance, developing human resources and promoting science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

He also discussed solutions to improve decentralisation, arrange officials in line with their capabilities and strengths, and improve salary and allowance policies and digital transformation.
