The Dong Nai Logistics Association held a roundtable bringing together businesses, members, state management agencies and experts to discuss the development of logistics services on the afternoon of April 23.

Tran Duong Hung, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade, noted that the province is home to numerous industrial parks, alongside major transport infrastructure projects, especially Long Thanh Airport, expressways and seaports. This creates significant opportunities for the development of logistics, particularly air logistics.

The Department’s leadership urged the Dong Nai Logistics Association to continue strengthening its role in connecting businesses to tap into the region’s potential and advantages. For its part, the industry and trade sector pledged to accompany the business community in developing logistics in a green, modern and sustainable manner.

In road transport alone, Dong Nai currently has more than 430 registered enterprises with nearly 40,000 vehicles.

At the conference, logistics firms, representatives from the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Ho Chi Minh City Branch, and experts discussed the current situation, potential and solutions for logistics development in Dong Nai in the coming period, particularly as the locality is set to become a centrally governed city. At the same time, Long Thanh Airport is expected to become operational by the end of 2026.

Logistics businesses in Dong Nai also called on authorities to support stronger connections among transport enterprises and to facilitate access to green financial services.

Given the scale of Long Thanh Airport, Dong Nai aims to develop it into a major cargo transit hub for both the region and the country, thereby enhancing economic competitiveness.

The province needs to accelerate infrastructure investment, leverage Long Thanh Airport to build a comprehensive development ecosystem, and place greater emphasis on air logistics.
