The forum is expected to bring together more than 700 delegates from the two countries, including representatives of the Government, ministries, sectors, localities, organisations, associations and businesses.
The main activities will include an opening session and two thematic sessions on innovation, digital transformation, smart urban areas and the development of cultural industries through heritage preservation, as well as meetings and connection activities among authorities, organisations, and businesses from the two countries.
A highlight in Hue City will be the Hue-Japan Connectivity Conference, a ceremony to exchange a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Hue City and Shizuoka City, and the signing ceremony for an Action Plan between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hue Municipal People’s Committee for the 2026-2030 period. Hue is also expected to promote and sign cooperation agreements with several Japanese localities and organisations.
The forum will also feature an exhibition space showcasing photographs and distinctive products from Vietnamese and Japanese localities, with 30 booths representing 45 units as well as tours of cultural and tourist attractions and survey visits to several industrial parks in Hue.
