Eight Vietnamese finswimmers qualify for 2025 World Games

Vietnam will see eight finswimmers participate in the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China, in August next year, according to the Sports Authority of Vietnam.

These are the athletes who helped Vietnam’s finswimming team win 26 gold medals, 27 silver medals and 16 bronze medals at the 2024 Finswimming World Cup.

The qualified finswimmers include Nguyen Trung Kien, Nguyen Thanh Loc, and Do Dinh Toan in the men’s 100m SF event; Luu Nguyen Duc Tam and Nguyen Huy Anh in the men’s 200m SF event; and Luu Nguyen Duc Tam in the men’s 400m SF event.

Vietnam will also participate in the men’s 4x100m SF event (Dang Phu Quoc, Do Dinh Toan, Nguyen Trung Kien, Nguyen Thanh Loc) and the women’s 4x100m SF event (Tran Thi Huyen Trang, Dang Thi Vuong, Pham Thi Thu, Cao Thi Duyen).

Earlier, Vietnam had earned berths in wushu (women’s 52kg, women’s 62kg, men’s 56kg, men’s 70kg) and women’s beach handball for the 2025 World Games.
