A festival honouring cultural heritages of ethnic minority groups in the northern mountainous province of Lang Son opened at Ho Phai Loan Park on the evening of October 13.

At the opening ceremony, an art programme took place, with the participation of hundreds of artists and artisans joining performance of traditional instruments and folk dances.

The event, held by the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, aimed to raise public awareness of the preservation and promotion of cultural values of ethnic minority groups in particular, as well as Vietnamese culture in general, meeting the requirements for the sustainable development of the country.

In addition, the festival also provided an opportunity to introduce the unique cultural beauty of each ethnic groups towards highlighting the cultural heritage values of the country in the spirit of convergence and brilliance.
