General Phan Van Giang pays tributes at historical sites in Thai Nguyen Province

In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025), Politburo member and Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang led a working delegation to offer incense and flowers at the Special National Historical Relic Site of the Dinh Hoa Safe Zone in Thai Nguyen Province on August 2.

Also present were Party Central Committee member and member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defence; leaders and former leaders of the Ministry of National Defence; as well as leaders from Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang Provinces.

General Phan Van Giang visited the Memorial House dedicated to De Pass in Phu Dinh Commune to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, and offered incense and flowers in memory of General Vo Nguyen Giap at the historical site in Phu Dinh Commune. He also visited General Giap’s former residence and workplace in Binh Yen Commune and paid homage at the memorial site of General Hoang Van Thai, the first Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army. The delegation also toured the historical sites of the Office of the General Command and various commemorative landmarks within the Dinh Hoa Safe Zone.

General Phan Van Giang and the delegation expressed their deep gratitude, and reaffirmed their commitment to studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of President Ho Chi Minh. They pledged to continue building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Viet Nam People’s Army, fulfilling the mission of safeguarding and developing the nation.
