Greg Norman, an Australian golf legend, has been accompanying Viet Nam’s tourism sector since 2018 as Tourism Ambassador. In his first term (2018–2021), he left a strong mark by contributing to Viet Nam being named “Asia’s Best Golf Destination” for eight consecutive times and “World’s Best Golf Destination” twice (in 2019 and 2021), as voted by the World Golf Awards — a prestigious international award in the golf sector, under the World Travel Awards system.

He also coordinated with the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (now the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism) in participating in tourism promotion and marketing activities for Viet Nam.

Besides being the face of the Golf section on the website Viet Nam.travel, Greg Norman has also been a “storyteller,” sharing his experiences, moments, and emotions about Viet Nam’s landscapes, cuisine, and fascinating destinations, introducing them to international friends through his personal social media channels.

He also produced a promotional video for Viet Nam’s tourism with the message “A Great Destination to Experience Golf” at FLC Ha Long Golf Course; and engaged and inspired the domestic community, encouraging Vietnamese people to become “tourism ambassadors” within their own communities.

With his global influence and extensive network, Greg Norman has supported consulting and connecting international events to Viet Nam, notably bringing the International Series Viet Nam tournament under the Asian Tour system to KN Cam Ranh Links Golf Course, where he was the principal course designer.

He has also promoted Viet Nam on international media channels such as CNN, CNBC, Golf Channel, Golf Digest…, helping position Viet Nam as an emerging golf destination in the region and globally. At the same time, he has actively participated in sharing experience and expertise in golf course design consultation and the organisation of golf tournaments in Viet Nam.

Greg Norman shared: “I am very proud to continue my connection with Viet Nam as Tourism Ambassador for the 2025–2030 term. I am committed to doing my utmost to further promote the image of Viet Nam — not only as a destination for golfers but also as a country of heritage, nature, culture, and friendly people — even more strongly worldwide.”
