The Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best honours destinations that receive outstanding reviews from global travellers’ community over a 12-month period. Fewer than 1% of the more than 8 million destinations and businesses listed on Tripadvisor receive this title.

Ranked fifth, the War Remnants Museum - one of Viet Nam’s best-known historical destination, drawing both domestic and international visitors- is considered a comprehensive and insightful attraction. It is also remembered as a highly educational site highlighting important milestones in Vietnamese history.

Through its scientifically organised and dignified system of artifacts, documents, and exhibition spaces, the War Remnants Museum helps visitors better understand the depth of the nation's history, while also providing rich and emotional experiences. It is also a particularly popular destination for international tourists visiting Ho Chi Minh City.

Ranked eighth, Hoi An Ancient Town continues to affirm its appeal as a living heritage site in central Viet Nam. Recognised by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site, Hoi An captivates visitors with its centuries-old architecture, lantern-lit streets and peaceful atmosphere.

In addition to exploring its rich cultural and historical heritage, visitors can enjoy local cuisine, shop for traditional handicrafts, cycle through tranquil countryside villages and relax along the picturesque Hoai River.

Also featured in the list at 19th place is the Cu Chi Tunnels.

Long regarded as one of Ho Chi Minh City’s most distinctive attractions, the Cu Chi Tunnels offer visitors the chance to explore a remarkably preserved underground tunnel network while learning about Viet Nam’s history.

Interactive experiences at the site provide valuable insights into the creativity, will, and resilient spirit of the Vietnamese people, contributing to its enduring appeal.

The Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism noted that the inclusion of three Vietnamese destinations among Asia’s top attractions of Tripadvisor highlights the strong appeal of the country’s historical, cultural and experiential tourism offerings to international visitors.
