Nha Nam will host a talk and exchange on the occasion of the launch of the novel “The City and Its Uncertain Walls” by renowned Japanese writer Haruki Murakami. The event will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, at the Cam Tu Monument (opposite Ngoc Son Temple), Hoan Kiem pedestrian street, Ha Noi.
The talk will feature translator Uyen Thiem, who translated the work into Vietnamese, Dr Tran Thi Thuc, Lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and writer Hien Trang as programme moderator.
Omage Plus Books will organise a seminar to introduce the book series “General Thanh – General Vinh Family: Two Generations of Generals – One Historical Flow” at 4:30 p.m. the same day, at the Cam Tu Monument.
The seminar will feature Major General Hoang Kim Phung, former Director of the Viet Nam Peacekeeping Department, journalist Luong Bich Ngoc – representative of the author group, speaker Phan Dang, and moderator journalist-poet Huu Viet (Nhan Dan Newspaper).
The Viet Nam Women’s Publishing House will host a talk to introduce the historical novel series “Van Xuan” at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 5.

The event will take place at the Ha Noi Book Fair stage, Ba Kieu Temple flower garden, Hoan Kiem pedestrian street. Speakers include many well-known contemporary writers and critics.
At this year’s Ha Noi Book Fair, the Viet Nam Women’s Publishing House has three author–work exchange events. In addition to “Van Xuan”, the publishing house will also organise a book tour to introduce “IELTS Writing – Essays ‘Pure as Distilled Water’” by Nguyen Hoang Huy (chief editor) from October 5 to 7 in Ha Noi and Bac Ninh. The author will have exchanges with readers, mainly secondary and high-school students, and university students.
Also within the framework of Ha Noi Book Fair 2025, Kim Dong Publishing House, in collaboration with the Reading with Children Club, will organise a booktalk titled: “The Land of Mist – The Search for Memory Glue: When Family is Magic.”
The programme will take place at 7 p.m. on October 4 at the main central stage of Ha Noi Book Fair (Ba Kieu Temple area and Hoan Kiem pedestrian street, Ha Noi).
Beyond book launches and author exchanges, the fiar offers promotions, figts, and interactive activities to nurture a culture of reading—promising a vibrant weekend for book lovers.
