With the theme “Ha Noi – Come to love”, the capital city promoted its image as a “City of Heritage and Creativity”, reaffirming its position as an attractive destination on the global tourism map.

The event, which gathered over 3,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries, offered Ha Noi a strategic opportunity to reach international travellers, particularly from Europe and French-speaking markets.

Nguyen Tran Quang, Deputy Director of Ha Noi’s Department of Tourism, said the city’s participation was part of a broader strategy to diversify source markets and attract more international visitors.

Ha Noi’s pavilion featured vivid images and videos of the thousand-year-old capital alongside presentations from Viet Nam Airlines and 11 leading local travel businesses. The showcase not only highlighted the cultural richness of the city but also facilitated business meetings and new partnerships, thereby paving the way for increased international arrivals.

Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang praised Ha Noi’s professional approach, expressing optimism about the city’s ability to attract more French and European tourists. He emphasised that Viet Nam has become a bright spot in Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific thanks to its diverse and competitive tourism products.

During the fair, the Ha Noi delegation also held working sessions with the Vietnamese Embassy, the Trade Office, and the Viet Nam Cultural Centre in France, while exploring cooperation with the Île-de-France region, Versailles, and other European partners.

The delegation further studied Paris’s heritage preservation practices with the aim to apply lessons to Ha Noi’s sustainable tourism development.

Jean-Pierre Sauvage, Chairman of BAR France and a long-time partner of Viet Nam Airlines, noted that Viet Nam has quickly regained momentum since reopening to international travel. With its cultural diversity across regions, the country is well-positioned to strengthen its standing in global tourism. He reaffirmed BAR France’s commitment to supporting Viet Nam Airlines in delivering top-quality services.

Ha Noi aims to welcome 7.8 million international visitors in 2025, with officials confident that the connections gained at IFTM Top Resa will contribute significantly to achieving this target.
