As planned, the grand ceremony marking the 120th anniversary of late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap’s birthday is expected to be solemnly held on April 17 at the Ha Tinh Centre for Culture, Cinema, and Tourism Promotion. Current and former leaders of the Party and State, representatives of central ministries, agencies, and localities, members of the late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap’s family, along with large numbers of people from all walks of life, are expected to attend the event.

A special art programme, produced and performed by the Ha Tinh Traditional Arts Theatre, will be staged at the ceremony. The performances will recreate the image of a steadfast communist revolutionary and an outstanding Party leader. The programme will also portray Ha Tinh as a land rich in traditions of learning and revolution — the birthplace of the late Party chief.

As part of the commemorative activities, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, in coordination with the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications, Education, and Mass Mobilisation and Ha Tinh Province, will organise a scientific conference themed: “Ha Huy Tap – a talented General Secretary, an outstanding theorist of the Vietnamese Party and revolution.”

In addition, Ha Tinh Province will direct relevant units and localities to organise a range of activities, including incense- and flower-offering ceremonies and commemorative events at the Ha Huy Tap Memorial Site in Cam Hung Commune and other historical sites; a special issuance ceremony of a set of postage stamps marking the 120th anniversary of his birth; and a wide range of forums and seminars on late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap.
