Lychees grown in Thanh Ha are a specialty of Hai Duong Province that are renowned both nationally and internationally.
The fruit has been granted geographical indication status and is currently under review for five-star certification as part of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme.
Cultivated in accordance with both Vietnamese and international good agricultural practices, Thanh Ha lychees have successfully entered global markets, having met the stringent standards of importing countries.
At the event, delegates cut the ribbon to mark the export of the first batches of Thanh Ha lychees to Japan, Australia, and Europe.
According to business evaluations, this year’s lychee crop has yielded a bumper harvest, and market conditions are relatively favourable.
During the conference, Ameii Viet Nam, Hung Viet Agricultural Company, and Fusa Organic Agriculture Company signed agreements with local lychee cooperatives in Thanh Ha District to distribute the fruit.
Hai Duong Province currently has 8,800 hectares dedicated to lychee cultivation, with a total expected output of 60,000 tonnes, with Thanh Ha District contributing approximately 38,000 tonnes.
