At the meeting, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh highly commended Hai Phong’s efforts in pursuing socio-economic development goals, particularly in achieving growth targets. All tasks assigned by the government to the city have been met or exceeded; budget revenue recorded positive results; the local economy has a large scale; and public investment disbursement has achieved encouraging outcomes.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister requested that Hai Phong continue to focus on removing difficulties and bottlenecks, promoting the development of production and business activities, and ensuring the maintenance of high growth targets.
In the next time, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh called on Hai Phong to persist in addressing obstacles and challenges, boosting production and business development, and sustaining high growth objectives; to perform well in planning work; to strengthen investment attraction for development, especially private investment; to step up the application of science and technology; to build and develop value chains; and to unlock and promote new growth drivers.
Hai Phong also needs to continue implementing, in a coordinated and effective manner, tasks and solutions for cultural, healthcare, and education development; to accelerate digital transformation; to build a digital government; and to advance administrative reform, thereby creating favourable conditions for citizens and businesses in production and business activities.
The city should further promote the application of information technology and the handling of work in the digital environment, helping to reduce the time required for administrative procedures for citizens and enterprises, and ensuring that the objectives of the two-tier local government model — better social governance and improved public services — are achieved.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh expressed his confidence that Hai Phong will, as an important growth pole of the country with a large economic scale, under new circumstances and conditions and on the basis of its solid economic foundation, continue to achieve further successes in local socio-economic development, thereby making a positive contribution to the country’s overall achievements.
