Ho Guom Theatre holds first concert

The Hanoi-based Ho Guom Theatre held its first concert on August 17 to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day, and the founding of the Vietnamese public security force (1945-2023).

The event was attended by leaders of the Party and State, Hanoi authorities, the Ministry of Public Security, as well as outstanding war veterans, doctors, journalists, women, students, and athletes.

Entitled ‘The Country’s Joy’, the concert featured the participation of the violinist Bui Cong Duy; monochord player Le Giang; pianist Nguyen Viet Trung; vocalists Dang Duong, Pham Thu Ha, and Bui Thi Trang; and artists from the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.

Under the baton of conductor Honna Tetsuji, the artists brought to the stage revolutionary songs praising the motherland and patriotism, such as ‘Song of Hope’, ‘We proud to move forward, Vietnam!’, ‘The First Spring’, and ‘Hanoians’.

Classical works by celebrated composers Camille Saint-Saëns and Frédéric Chopin Polish composer were also performed for the audience at the event.
