Exhibition honours colours of Vietnam’s ethnic groups

A photo exhibition entitled ‘Colours of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups’ kicked off at the Centre for Vietnam’s Culture and Arts in Hanoi on November 18.

The works on display at the exhibition include 200 photos by 87 photographers, featuring the traditional customs, beliefs, lifestyles, costumes, and festivals of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.

The photos were selected from thousands of entries submitted by professional and amateur photographers, ethnologists, journalists, and culture enthusiasts from across the country.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, stressed that the exhibition demonstrates the Party, State and community’s attention to preserving and promoting the treasured cultural values of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.

Hosted by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the event will run until November 24 at 29 Hang Bai Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
