[In Photos] Impressive joint rehearsal of parade for National Day celebration

The second joint rehearsal for military parade and march for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) took place on August 24 at Ba Dinh Square, Ha Noi. This was the final rehearsal before the State-level preliminary review on the evening of August 27.

Thousands of people gathered early along the streets where the parade columns would pass to secure prime viewing spots.

The rehearsal involved more than 16,000 officers, soldiers, armed forces personnel, and civilians, with 43 marching formations, 18 standing blocks, and 14 mechanised columns of military and police equipment.

The streets along the parade route were packed with eager spectators awaiting the spectacle.

Female musicians of the Military Band looked graceful as they marched in formation.

Soldiers’ powerful, synchronised steps echoed through the streets.

Parade formations of armed forces and civilian contingents were met with warm cheers and applause from the public.

The women’s militia unit, representing Viet Nam’s ethnic groups, marched with pride and strength.

A child joined the joyful, anticipatory atmosphere of the rehearsal as relatives brought them to experience the occasion.

Synchronised steps marked the parade lines.

The parade formations of armed forces and civilian contingents marched amid the warm welcome and cheers of spectators lining both sides of the streets.

Citizens eagerly recorded the grand display of the armed forces’ parade on their mobile phones.

No one wanted to miss the solemn, pride-filled moments of this historic national commemoration.

This was the final rehearsal before the State-level preliminary review on the evening of August 27.
