Responding to the 'March in Border Area' programme, in recent days, officers and soldiers of Border Guard units (Nghe An Provincial Border Guard) stationed on the Vietnam-Laos border, together with local Party committees, authorities and mass organisations, have carried out many exciting and meaningful activities.
Officers and soldiers of Na Ngoi Border Guard Station and local people built a concrete yard for the Phu Kha 2 Village cultural house, Na Ngoi Commune, Ky Son District, on March 12.
Mon Son Border Guard Station coordinated with Mon Son Kindergarten to organise extracurricular activities to experience the military environment for the school's students.
The Youth Union of Tam Quang Border Guard Station together with the Youth Union, Women's Union, and Farmers' Association of Tan Huong Village (Tam Quang Commune, Tuong Duong District) organised the groundbreaking ceremony to build a charity house for the family of Vi Cong Oanh, a poor single-parent household.
From March 4 to March 18, implementing the Expanded Immunization Programme and the Measles Prevention and Control Campaign, the Military Medical Corps of Tri Le Border Guard Station, together with the Commune Health Station and the health care units of the villages, organised vaccinations for 156 children in Tri Le Commune, Que Phong District.
On March 15, the Youth Union of Na Ngoi Border Guard Station together with the Youth Union of Na Ngoi Commune and the Youth Union of Economic-Defense Group 4 (Military Region 4) organised the journey "My Fatherland's Border". During the journey, more than 40 union members deployed to overcome landslides and organised clearing and cleaning of patrol roads and around national border markers.
Cadres, soldiers, union members, and youth of Na Loi Border Guard Station, together with local Party Committees, authorities, and people of Na Loi Commune, Ky Son District, support poor households in the area during the process of building new houses.
Na Loi Border Guard Station's military medical staff and Na Loi Commune Health Station organise measles vaccination for children from 1 to 6 years old and examine and provide medicine for local people.
Mon Son Border Guard Station's Youth Union and other forces stationed in the area organise the planting of "Youth Trees" in the stadium area of Mon Son Commune, Con Cuong District.
The Youth Union of Tri Le Border Guard Station, sponsors and related units presented many gifts to students at Nam Tot School - Tri Le 4 Primary School.
On March 16 and 17, Keng Du Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard and local militia, together with Border Guard Company 223, Xieng Khouang Provincial Military Command (Laos) coordinated to organise bilateral patrols of the border section under the responsibility of the two units.
