On May 13, large crowds of Ha Noi residents and Buddhist followers gathered along the city’s main streets to welcome the Shakyamuni Buddha’s Sacred Śarīra as it was brought to Quan Su Pagoda (Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi), the headquarters of the Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha, as part of the celebrations of the United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations 2025 (Vesak 2025).

The Buddha’s relic is solemnly returned to Quan Su Pagoda. From May 14, Buddhist monks, followers, residents, and visitors may pay their respects without prior registration. Visitation and veneration of the relic at Quan Su Pagoda are taking place from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily from May 14 to May 16.
