Thousands of young volunteers regardless of day or night serve at the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
According to the assignment, the volunteer force participates in supporting, serving, and guiding delegations and people, coming to pay their respects to the late General Secretary.
They provide free water, snacks, paper fans, umbrellas, and raincoats to mourners during the funeral, as well as participate in ensuring traffic order and environmental sanitation.
Although they are only very small material contributions, the emotional gestures have great meaning.
Volunteers carry out tasks at four main areas, including the National Funeral Hall located at No 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, the General Secretary's private house at Lai Da Village (Dong Hoi Commune, Dong Anh District), Mai Dich Cemetery and on the streets scheduled for the funeral procession during the two days of the national funeral.
