The information was released by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Soc Trang Provincial People’s Committee on September 23.
The festival is expected to draw the participation of 12 cities and provinces in the Mekong River Delta as well as Ho Chi Minh City.
The Cultural, Sports and Tourism Fest aims to preserve, honour and promote the traditional cultural values of the Khmer people in Soc Trang Province, as well as the southern region in general, as well as to improve the quality of spiritual life for the Khmer people.
The event also contributes to promoting the locality’s tourism potential to both domestic and international visitors.
