The programme featured a collection of world-class classical masterpieces, operatic and symphonic works, and contemporary Vietnamese compositions — all of which showcased the profound professional expertise of the Piano Faculty.

An audience of over 700 was treated to a deeply moving experience, erupting in prolonged applause as they enjoyed the performances presented in the programme, “The Art of Ensemble: A Gathering of Masterpieces on Four Pianos.” The concert, organised by the Piano Faculty, took place in the Grand Concert Hall of the Viet Nam National Academy of Music on the evening of November 1.

Thirty-two artists, all of whom serve as faculty members in the Piano Faculty, appeared on stage together, performing throughout the evening in an ensemble format utilising four pianos. This staging choice demanded seamless coordination, high precision, and an exceptional command of sound from every artist involved.

What made this concert particularly noteworthy was not merely the participation of 32 artists or the use of four pianos; rather, it was the reflection of contributions from multiple generations of the Piano Faculty and artists, ranging from veteran educators who have dedicated decades to the field, such as People’s Teacher Tran Thu Ha, to the current generation of faculty members actively engaged in both professional instruction and performance. The concert celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Viet Nam National Academy of Music marked the success of a long journey in education, showcasing the profile and inherent strength of the artist-faculty members from the Piano Faculty.

This is reflected in their professional expertise — demonstrated through works that demand a high level of artistry — and in the creative spirit brought to the staging. Above all, it highlights the presence of these mentors and artists who remain deeply committed to preserving, teaching, and continuously enriching the landscape of academic music in Viet Nam.
