The show is also the first event in a series of activities celebrating the 2024 National Tourism Year – Dien Bien and Hoa Ban (Bauhinia Flower) Festival.
Lasting nearly 40 minutes, with the participation of 56 background and 20 professional actors and actresses, the show reproduced historical legends about the land, people, and unique folk dances of the Thai ethnic minority group in U-Va Hamlet in particular and Dien Bien Province in general.

The show consists of three main parts: the first is about the ancient imprints of the Thai people, the second is about the legend of the ‘Pieu’ scarf and the bauhinia flower tree, and the last highlights Xen Pang Festival (the Thai ethnic people’s custom of worshipping ancestors, heaven, and earth).
Taking place right in U-Va Hamlet, which is imbued with the cultural identity of the Thai ethnic group, the show “Legend of U-Va’ left a beautiful impression in the hearts of local people and tourists.
It is hoped that the show will become a unique tourism product that boldly features the culture and history of the land and people of Dien Bien in the past, present, and future, thereby attracting more visitors to Dien Bien.
The show attracts large numbers of locals and visitors. |
