Ly Hoang Nam started 2022 with a not-so-impressive ranking of the 583rd in the world. However, his recent excellent performances have helped him continuously set new milestones in his career.

Claiming the runner-up positions in the M15 tournament in both France and Thailand earlier this year marked the beginning of the 25-year-old's development period. After that, he won three consecutive championships in Vietnam in June and July. Hoang Nam then claimed the first M15 championship in Malaysia.

After three awards, Ly Hoang Nam won a total of 43 points, helping him jump 18 places to 272nd in the newly published ATP rankings.

Ly Hoang Nam is likely to continue to set a new milestone in the rankings when returning to Vietnam to compete in professional tournaments. Hoang Nam is the No. 1 seed in the men's singles tennis M25 Tay Ninh tournament. This tournament has the participation of some famous tennis players such as Dragos Nicolae Madaras (Sweden), Ergi Kirkin (Turkey) and Lee Duck Hee (the Republic of Korea).
