The event saw the presence of Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen and Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong - Deputy Minister of National Defence.
Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong acknowledged and praised the dedication, efforts and results of officers and soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh City armed forces throughout the past 78 years.
He appreciated the Ho Chi Minh City High Command for its effective implementation of military and defence tasks, in association with socio-economic development throughout the locality.
Major General Phan Van Xung, Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City High Command, said that after 78 years of development, generations of officers and soldiers have always shown their bravery, steadfastness, and loyalty to the Party and the people, fulfilling their tasks of defending the Fatherland.
