In the five-day sitting, legislative work continues to be a top priority, as the Standing Committee plans to consider and discuss eight draft laws and two draft resolutions to be submitted to the legislature at the eighth plenary session.
These five draft laws are the Law on Management and Investment of State Capital in Enterprises; the Law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on Supervision Activities of the National Assembly and People’s Councils; the Law on Digital Technology Industry; the Law on Public Investment (amended); and the Law on Data.
The NA’s Standing Committee will contribute ideas on the draft Law on Teachers for the second time.
Two draft laws and two draft resolutions will be discussed and approved in this session, including the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Planning Law, the Investment Law, the Law on Public-Private Partnership, and the Bidding Law; the draft Law on amendments and supplements to several articles of the Law on Securities, the Accounting Law, the Law on Independent Audit, the Law on State Budget Law, the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets, the Tax Administration Law, and the Law on National Reserve; as well as a resolution on piloting the handling of physical evidence and assets during the investigation, prosecution, and trial of certain criminal cases; and a resolution on the organisation of urban administration in Hai Phong city.
The NA's Standing Committee is expected to review and provide opinions on reports related to socio-economic matters, the state budget, and ombudsman work presented to the National Assembly.
An investment policy for the National Target Programme on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period; a policy for adjusting the land use planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision toward 2050; and personnel work will be put on table as well.
