Speaking during the visit and gift-giving programme, the NA Vice Chairwoman congratulated the Party Committee, authorities, and ethnic communities of Lang Son Province on their solidarity and efforts to overcome difficulties, achieving many positive and comprehensive results across various fields.
According to a report, universal education and illiteracy eradication have reached 100% in all communes and wards; the rates of children and students enrolled at all levels have remained high and stable; and the quality of education has gradually improved.
The construction of 11 multi-level boarding schools in border communes is being actively implemented and is expected to serve nearly 12,800 students. Of these, four schools are being prioritised for completion and put into use before August 30, 2026, in time to welcome students for the new school year.
In response to new tasks and requirements for education and training, the NA Vice Chairwoman asked the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee and authorities to continue effectively implementing Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW and laws and resolutions of the NA on education and training; arrange the network of educational facilities in line with the specific conditions of mountainous and border areas; and prioritise resources for investment in facilities and improving education quality, particularly in remote and isolated areas, areas inhabited by ethnic minority communities, border areas and for students in difficult circumstances, so that every child receives care and has opportunities to study and develop.
Regarding the 11 multi-level boarding schools in border communes, she first asked the province to focus on completing and putting four schools into operation before August 30, 2026.
At the same time, Lang Son needs to continue paying attention to the development of vocational education in line with employment needs and socio-economic development; improve the quality of human resources; and expand international cooperation and integration in education and training.
It should also focus on building a contingent of teachers and educational administrators who possess strong moral character, professional expertise and dedication to the profession, meeting the requirements of education reform in the new period.
At the programme, the NA Vice Chairwoman, the working delegation and Lang Son provincial leaders presented 30 bicycles to primary and secondary students in difficult circumstances, as well as 200 sets of books and English reading pens to primary students.
The delegation also presented 300 sets of books and English reading pens to the Lang Son Department of Education and Training for distribution to students across the province.
