Tay Ninh is home to more than 143,000 people entitled to preferential treatment as contributors to the revolution. In recent years, the Party and state have continually improved policies for these individuals, while promoting the “Paying the Debt of Gratitude” movement to ensure their material and spiritual wellbeing.

The NA Vice Chairwoman commended Tay Ninh for effectively implementing policies to honour and care for those who rendered service to the nation, successfully mobilising a wide range of resources to support their living conditions.

Speaking at the gift presentation ceremonies, NA Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh emphasised that throughout the nation’s wars of resistance and journey to build and defend the country, millions of heroic citizens laid down their lives for national independence. War invalids, sick soldiers, martyrs, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, and all who made sacrifices stand as shining symbols of the revolutionary heroism, patriotism, resilience, and unyielding spirit of the Vietnamese people.

To ensure that contributors and their families achieve a standard of living at least above average, she called on Tay Ninh authorities to continue thoroughly implementing relevant resolutions, directives, and ordinances; mobilise resources to advance the "Paying the Debt of Gratitude” movement; enhance efforts in locating, repatriating, and identifying the remains of martyrs; and intensify patriotic education among the younger generation to foster a widespread spirit of gratitude and responsibility.

She also encouraged the promotion of cultural family values and the “new lifestyle” in residential communities, thereby contributing meaningfully to building modern rural areas and civilised urban spaces, maintaining public order and security, and effectively implementing the two-tier local government model.

During her visit and working session with Long Khot Border Guard Station, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh praised the readiness and dedication of the border officers and soldiers, as well as other frontline forces stationed along the nearly 370km of the province’s southwestern border.
