Numerous festivals to be held in Binh Dinh to attract tourists during Tet

There will be many festivals and attractive tourism stimulation activities, in the south-central coastal province of Binh Dinh from January 7 to February 21, 2023, to welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet), according to the Provincial Department of Tourism.

Accordingly, 8 cultural and art activities will be organised at the provincial scale, while three festivals and more than 35 cultural and sports activities will be held by districts, towns and cities in the province.

Specifically, Binh Dinh will organise festivals such as the first An Nhon Golden Apricot Festival 2023, inaugurating the mascot of the year of the Cat 2023, decorating the campus of the Nguyen Tat Thanh - Nguyen Sinh Sac monument and a photo exhibition on socio-economic achievements of Binh Dinh province in 2022, a traditional Tet cake making contest and a contest on building the traditional Tet celebration, among others.

According to the Director of Binh Dinh Provincial Department of Tourism Tran Van Thanh, the province has implemented several tourism stimulus programmes and also approved investment for more than 67 tourism projects throughout the province.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, Binh Dinh is one of the localities recording a strong recovery. In 2022, Binh Dinh is expected to receive more than 4.1 million visitors, an increase of 185.2% compared to 2021, total revenue in 2022 is estimated at 13.1 trillion VND, up 658.3% compared to the previous year. In 2023, Binh Dinh strives to attract 5 million visitors to the province.
