Over 400 athletes compete at 2023 National Youth Jujitsu Championship

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province coordinated with the Department of Physical Education and Sports under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Jujitsu Federation and Thanh Hoa City People's Committee to organise the 2023 National Youth Jujitsu Championship, on July 4.

More than 300 athletes in 22 delegations from provinces, cities and industries across the country competed in the U16, U18 and U21 age groups.

The players are competing for 156 sets of medals.

According to the organising board, this year's tournament brings together many excellent athletes from 27 provinces, cities and industries across the country, such as Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Binh Duong, promising to feature many exciting and fierce matches.

The 2023 National Youth Jujitsu Championship is also an important test in terms of training young athletes. This is an opportunity for the National Jujitsu Team to select and supplement its athletes and prepare for the World Youth Jujitsu Championships and other international tournaments in 2023.

The tournament is expected to end on July 11.

This is the first time Thanh Hoa has hosted the Jujitsu tournament, an opportunity for the province to promote its image, potential, and strengths in culture, history, geography, tourism and sports to domestic and international friends.
