This is among the activities celebrating the reception of UNESCO’s recognition for Xoe Thai dance as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity as well as the Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival.

The exhibition features 55 photos that fully introduce the image and beauty of the art of Xoe Thai dance of the Thai ethnic minority people in Muong Lo in particular and in the northwestern region in general.

This is an opportunity for Yen Bai Province to promote the beauty of the heritage towards creating an attractive tourism product for both domestic and international friends.

On the occasion, a set of photos on the tourism of eight northwestern provinces will be promoted. The photos highlight tourism resources, works, tourist attractions, cultural heritages, historical relic sites, festivals, traditional trade villages and folklore forms from the provinces of Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Hoa Binh, and Ha Giang.

The event is also expected to contribute to enhancing the cooperation for tourism development among eight northwestern provinces.

The exhibition will run until September 28.
