The exhibition, which is to mark the 50th anniversary of the AO disaster in Vietnam (August 10,1961–2011), shows the US military’s crimes against generations of Vietnamese when they sprayed defoliants on forests during the Vietnam War, and the community’s efforts to help AO/dioxin victims.
During the past five years, the Can Tho municipal Association for Victims of AO/Dioxin has raised over VND 6.7 billion (US$328,000) to help the victims overcome their difficulties and integrate into the community.
The exhibition, held jointly by the Military Zone 9 Museum and the Can Tho Association for Victims of AO/Dioxin, will last until August 7.
