He applauded the significant contributions of the trade union organisations and the working class to the country’s multifaceted achievements over recent times, urging the VGCL to continue accelerating coordination with relevant ministries and departments to properly deal with the issues related to wages, working hours and social insurance for employees, towards improving the quality of Vietnam’s human resources in national construction and international integration.
“The working class is a core force and a factor to ensure success in the cause of national renovation and international integration. Therefore, workers must improve their qualifications and master science and technology, thereby increasing labour productivity. Labour productivity is always associated with income,” PM Phuc emphasised.
The VGCL should work closely with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to resolve the matters related to the labourers, especially the shortcomings in institutions and the handling of their frustrations, he requested.

The leader asked the confederation to accelerate communication to raise workers’ awareness in complying with the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws and refuting the false and sabotage information.
The VGCL was urged to work with ministries, sectors and agencies to detect and address shortcomings in institutions and laws in the direction of prioritising workers’ interests when their employers go bankrupt.
PM Phuc also requested the VGCL continue to effectively engage in institutional building, improve the quality of the collective labour agreement and increase dialogue, and supervise the implementation of food safety for the labourers.
Stressing the urgent need to build a harmonious, stable and progressive labour relationship, PM Phuc asked trade union organisations at all levels to regularly monitor and grasp the thoughts and demands of workers, strengthen close bonds between businesses and workers, and organise many dialogues in order to resolve the workers’ frustrations in high-tech industrial parks.
